I missed a day of blogging and writing yesterday.
It was a Saturday and I spent the afternoon with a few good friends eating and catching up. I met my partner at the gym in the evening and went for a nice Body Combat class. The class was an hour of intense punching and kicking, by the end of the session, my whole body was aching. I had also eaten something bad and therefore by the time I got home, I had to rest.
But I am feeling so much better today and spent the last 2 hours writing my novel. To compensate for yesterday’s Daily Commitment Hour. While I do not think it is necessary to pay back for the hours you have missed. But if you can do so, why not?
The important thing is to move on from missing a day of your commitment and to quickly get back on track. Do not ever beat yourself up over one or even a few missed days. Sometimes life can take unexpected turns or simply get way to busy. But do try to go back to your Daily Commitment Hour ASAP! We wouldn’t want the good habit to go away right?
The Writing Progress
I noticed that the more I write my novel, the more ideals I have. Sometimes I would have a slight writer’s block, but before I know it, the issue would get resolved and a new story angle would reveal itself. It gets me so excited that even after my hour of writing, I would want to carry on.
While writing the other day, I also recall a website called Wattpad. It is a free online community for writers to publish their stories chapter by chapter, and for readers to find new stories. I got hooked onto a story about zombies, titled ‘Finding Humanity’. Also I am still deciding if I should upload my story onto Wattpad. Perhaps I will upload another story on Wattpad while taking part in NanoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November.
I have managed to bring my word count to 2176 words today!
